Welcome to the Science Learning Hub Pokapū Akoranga Pūtaiao homepage. This is a great place to kick off our exploration of what the Hub has to offer. You can get back to the homepage anytime by clicking the logo in the upper left corner.
From the header at the top of every page, you can search by opic or concept or browse our Citizen science and Teacher PLD sections. There's also a glossary of science terms used on the site. Next to that, you'll find your profile.
Everything on the Science Learning Hub is free to access for anyone, so you don't need to be signed in. However, creating a profile only takes a minute and gives access to features like managing collections, which you can only access if you're signed in.
Next to your profile is the notifications bell. The red dot lets you know about new resources on the site or events you can take part in.
Beside that is the search icon, which lets you find content anywhere on the Hub.
If you scroll down the homepage, you'll see our featured resources section. Here, you'll find content we've highlighted because it's new or timely.
Below that are popular topics and concepts. Topics and concepts are ways for you to navigate the huge amount of content on the Hub.
Below that, we have the latest resources added to the site. These include articles, activities, teacher PLD, and more.
If you click view all resources, there's a number of filters you can use to search our library.
Next, we have our events section. This shows science and education events going on throughout the country. If you click view all events, again, there's a number of filters you can use to find events relevant to your time and place.
You can also browse newsletters and news articles in our news section. This is another great way to keep up with what's happening on the site.
At the bottom of every page, including the homepage, the footer section lets you connect with the Science Learning Hub via Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, or email. You can also enter your email to subscribe to our monthly newsletter or view past newsletters.
Wherever you are on the Hub, you can always find our feedback tool at the lower left corner of the screen. This lets you share any issues you might be having with the team, who can help you find what you're looking for.
