World Space Week 2025

04 October 2025 - 10 October 2025

Region(s): Nationwide

Type(s): promotion

World Space Week is a United Nations declared celebration of space held annually, every 4–10 October. The theme for 2025 is Living in Space – exploring humanity’s journey beyond Earth. As we stand on the cusp of permanent space habitation, this year’s celebration examines the technologies, innovations and human adaptations necessary for thriving in extraterrestrial environments.

Space stations, lunar bases, and Mars settlements are no longer distant dreams. They represent active engineering challenges requiring breakthrough solutions in life support systems, closed-loop agriculture, radiation protection, and psychological wellness. The infrastructure developed today will determine whether future generations can call space their home.

This year’s events will explore sustainable space habitation while inspiring the next generation of engineers, scientists, and explorers. Students worldwide will discover how biology, physics, engineering, and human psychology converge to solve life beyond Earth.
