Roots of Resilience

Climate anxiety is becoming increasingly common, particularly among people who care deeply about the future of the environment and society.

This thoughtful Conservation Kōrero explores how we can navigate uncertainty without becoming consumed by fear, helplessness or burnout. Through reflections on resilience, values and the restorative effects of nature, Dr Ivan Lin discusses how confidence can emerge from staying present and taking meaningful action aligned with what matters most.

About the speaker

Dr Lin is a medical doctor, speaker and workshop facilitator with experience delivering public and professional wellbeing programmes focused on resilience, emotional wellbeing and the relationship between people and the natural world.

Venue

This event will be held in the Pāteke Room in the Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne Visitor Centre with light refreshments provided. Doors open at 1:45 pm, parking is available at both the Visitor Centre and overflow parking area on Birdwood Street.
