Fungi are an essential part of the biodiversity and ecology of Aotearoa. Dr Geoff Ridley will discuss the importance of fungi drawing from knowledge of Ōtari Wilton’s Bush.

Honey mushroom
The edible Armillaria novae-zelandiae has been recorded as a disease-causing fungus for some introduced crop plants.
This seminar is part of the Ōtari-Wilton’s Bush Trust’s annual seminar series. This year, they are on the first Tuesday of the month, March – November, to celebrate 100 years of Ōtari-Wilton’s Bush.
