Ask a scientist with Ben Kennedy

Professor Ben Kennedy works at the School of Earth and Environment at Te Whare Wānanga O Waitaha University of Canterbury. Ben won the Prime Minister’s Science Communication Prize in 2023 in recognition of his efforts to teach the wonder and the risks of volcanoes to people young and old.

Ākonga from across the motu were invited to submit questions for Ben to answer during an ‘Ask a scientist session’ as part of National Primary Science Week.
