Planning help and a hint of things to come

We know that it’s never been a busier time to be an educator. Our pānui for Māehe offers PLD resources to make planning easier and add depth to your classroom pedagogy. We also provide a heads-up on changes to our website.

Professional Learning and Development – a wealth of options

Like the rest of the Hub, our PLD space has breadth and depth so we organise resources into categories, which can also be filtered for early years, primary and secondary teaching and learning. Find out more about the three PLD type filters.

  • The Planning types features contexts for learning and planning pathways, which curate resources and provide curriculum information and pedagogical hints on how to use them. There is also a selection of unit plans.

  • The Pedagogy types features case studies and other examples of how teachers use Hub resources, alternative conceptions and research insights.

  • Webinars features recorded webinars for viewing at your convenience.

In case you missed them, we have two new recorded webinars. Both are full of practical advice for educators.

SLH news – April holidays site refresh

The Hub team has been working behind the scenes to freshen up the SLH website. We will make the switch to a new look website during the April school holidays. It will have a fresher look with some small enhancements in functionality.

For users who are already registered, there is one important sign in change to note – after we go live with the refreshed site, you will need to reset your password (or use one of the other sign in features) to access your collections and favourites – once we’ve made the switch.

We recommend that you update your email now if it is not the one you currently use – for example, if you have changed your job/school – otherwise, you will not get the verification email for the new login. Update your email by signing in and then clicking on the Profile button at the top of the webpage and then select My details.
