Chain reaction

Chain reaction: a neutron hits an atom of 235Uranium diagram.

In a chain reaction, a neutron hits an atom of 235Uranium. The 235Uranium will then split into smaller atoms, producing energy that can then be harnessed. Additional neutrons are also released, which will go on to split more 235Uranium.
