Biozone hominin skeleton comparisons

Hominins exhibit a range of physical differences across their evolutionary history, reflecting adaptations to various environments and lifestyles. Key comparisons include brain size, body size, limb proportions and skeletal features related to locomotion and diet. Early hominins like Australopithecus were smaller and more ape-like than later Homo species, with smaller brains and more robust jaws. Homo species, particularly Homo erectus and later Homo sapiens, show increased brain size, reduced sexual dimorphism and more modern limb proportions.
