Undaria pinnatifida

Undaria pinnatifida an Aquatic plant attached to sea floor.

Undaria pinnatifida is an invasive seaweed that is often referred to as ‘the gorse of the sea’. Mature plants release spores that attach to the hulls of marine vessels. There are biosecurity actions boat owners can take to prevent the spread of this invasive plant.
