Lake Lockett – Kahurangi National Park

Cobalt blue lake surrounded by vegetation and steep slopes.

Lake Lockett is in a deep, bowl-shaped valley formed by a glacier. It is surrounded on three sides by steep rock and scree slopes. This remote lake shows little evidence of human impact.
