Bioluminescent fungus

The fungi saprobe Panellus Stipticus displaying bioluminescence

Bioluminescence is the production and emission of light by a living organism. The fungi pictured is Panellus stipticus, it is one of a number of species of fungi that are bioluminescent, however some strains in different locations do not exhibit this trait.
