Crop pesticide

Organochlorines crop pesticide. Person in a hazmat suit.

Pesticides are commonly used in agriculture to prevent disease and improve yields. We are discovering that many pesticides used are hazardous to the environment. Many of these chemicals are no longer used, but some are still in use today. It is important for scientists to establish the long-term risk of these chemicals to our health and the health of the environment.
