Lace bug

Lace bugs (Gargaphia decoris) on a leaf.

In 2009 the lace bug, Gargaphia decoris, was approved as a biocontrol agent for woolly nightshade in New Zealand. Woolly nightshade is an invasive weed that is well established in the North Island.
