Definition
Relating to or affecting an entire system. In human health, systemic disorders affect the whole body rather than just one organ or body part. In plants, systemic pesticides are absorbed into a plant and distributed throughout its tissues, reaching the plant’s stem, leaves, roots and any fruits or flowers.
