ppb

Definition

  1. A commonly used term to describe a very tiny amount of something: one part in one billion parts. For example, 1 second in 32 years is 1 part per billion (ppb).

  2. In chemistry, a unit of measure for very, very small concentrations (dilutions). This can be expressed as micrograms per litre (ug/L).
