Celebrate United Nations World Water Day 2026 with Smart Water!

World Water Day  is celebrated across the globe every year on 22 March. It’s all about appreciating water, learning more about it and reminding us that water is an important resource for us all, especially in Summer.

To celebrate, Smart Water is offering free lesson plans, classroom activities and the chance to win great prizes. Available to all intermediate and primary schools within Hamilton, Waipā and Waikato districts.

Free kit includes:

  • PowerPoint class lesson

  • fun activities and resources for your class

  • take part in the Smart Water Challenge

  • win a rain harvesting system and other prizes for school.

Registrations are limited, so don’t miss out. Entries are due in by Monday 30 March and winners announced on Wednesday 1 April 2026.
