Join this free webinar for educatiors hosted by Technology Education New Zealand (TENZ). In this session, Kimberley Sullings shares how and why she created and lead real-world, nature-based STEAM projects with her class. She talks about what happens when learning moves beyond worksheets, timetables, and classroom walls — how student engagement changes, how different learners find their voice, and how confidence, curiosity, and ownership grow.
Using examples from projects like a mara hupara, butterfly gardens, and student responses to the Auckland flooding, she’ll show how this approach differs from traditional teaching and why it makes such a powerful difference for kids.
