In this presentation, Nan Walden will share the journey behind receiving the 2026 Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Teaching and becoming a 2026 World of WearableArt finalist.
Nan will explore how authentic learning, culturally responsive practice, and industry partnerships have shaped their teaching and creative work. The presentation will also introduce the WOW journey becoming a finalist in 2026 and PhD study.
Closing the Loop, demonstrating how wearable art, advanced manufacturing, circular design, and emerging technologies can inspire innovation while creating meaningful learning opportunities for students and educators.
