The Prime Minister's Space Prizes for this year are now open for applications
These two new prizes to recognise the talented people working in New Zealand’s space and emerging aviation sectors and aim to inspire young people to pursue a career in these sectors.
The Prime Minister's Space Prize for Student Endeavour
This prize is worth $50,000. The prize will be awarded to either a year 12 or year 13 student who is undertaking or has recently completed a science, technology or engineering project related to the space sector and/or the advanced aviation sector.
The Prime Minister's Space Prize for Professional Excellence
This prize is worth $100,000 NZD. This prize is for a professional working in a space-related field, recognising their outstanding achievements and contribution to the sector.
