Join this field trip to Orokonui Ecosanctuary and enjoy a bird-spotting adventure with expert tour guides!
Your Orokonui guides will lead loop walks through native grassland, regenerating bush, and ancient cloud forest habitat, looking out for and sharing kōrero about the birds, plants and reptiles along the way. Learn about the shared histories with the valley, the sanctuary's vital conservation work, and the future of taoka species thriving under its care.
The trip includes a return bus journey to Orokonui Ecosanctuary, a guided tour, and time to explore on your own or enjoy lunch in Orokonui’s stunning natural surrounds. You’ll need to provide your own lunch, or you can choose from a delicious selection of food at Horopito Café.
