Engineering: Her Student Experience 2026

10 June 2026 - 10 June 2026

6–8 pm

Region(s): Auckland, Nationwide

Type(s): experiences

This free information evening is for secondary school girls and their whānau to explore the University of Auckland's ten Engineering specialisations with insights from current students.

Every year, the Engineering: Her Student Experience evenings are held specifically for high school girls, their parents and whānau to showcase women engineering students at the University of Auckland. Attendees will discover details about each specialisation, including career pathways, skills that will be acquired and what it’s really like to be a student.

The aim of these evenings is to provide an overview of the vast range of engineering fields and job opportunities that come with them, as well as to encourage students to consider engineering as an exciting and fulfilling career option.

Attendees also have the opportunity to ask questions and mingle with current students from each of our 10 specialisations over refreshments at the end of the evening. Come along and talk about what it's like to study engineering!

Registration opens at 5:30 pm and the event will begin at 6:00 pm sharp.

There is an option for those who aren't able to join in person to join us for the event online.

Location: The Faculty of Engineering, University of Auckland, 5 Grafton Rd, Auckland
