Celebrate World Ocean Day at Waipapa Taumata Rau University of Auckland's Institute of Marine Science!
Come along on Saturday, 13 of June, from 10 am–3 pm, to discover novel research through bespoke speaker sessions and interactive exhibits showcasing the world beneath the waves.
Hear from four inspirational marine researchers as they share their mahi around aquaculture, rocky reef ecology, shark physiology, and ecosystem restoration.
Home to Aotearoa New Zealand's oldest marine reserve, explore the wider Leigh Lab campus through five interactive exhibits that highlight active research to help us better understand and connect with our big blue backyard.
Whether you’re a budding marine scientist or ocean enthusiast, there is something for everyone this World Ocean Day!
It is free to register to visit at any time throughout the day, or you can also book for one of the special, limited-entry speaker sessions, so don't miss out on this unique experience!
