Bug Songs Not Love Songs
03 March 2026 - 07 March 2026
Region(s): Wellington
Type(s): presentations, experiences
Your wall. Two bugs. They're gonna sing at you.
Every bug knows of Bauble (Lia Kelly) and Skump (Phoebe Caldeiro), the two ladybugs that play a weekly concert on living room wall, in their fittingly named band Bugs on a Wall. Every bug also knows that this concert will tragically be their last before house gets fumigated. Join our little ladybug band for a night of their greatest hits such as: Praying Mantis Wedding, Questions for Humans and Bugs Find A Way, and answer the biggest question on all our minds: “What music would a bug choose to play at its funeral?”
Come in your best bug outfit and join Lia and Phoebe in a 50 minutes show, as they explore identity and intersectionality in a set of original comedy songs. Directed by award winning comedian Alayne Dick.
Location: BATS Theatre, 1 Kent Tce, Te Aro, Wellington.
