Show off our unique biodiversity and take on the world in this global competition and help Christchurch win the title of World Biodiversity capital of 2019!

The goal is to discover every animal, plant and fungus around Christchurch.

Anyone can take part, whether you are a nature newbie or a life long biodiversity fan. No matter where you are in Christchurch, it’s easy.

Find some wildlife, it can be any plant, animal, fungi, slime mold, or any other evidence of life (scat, fur, tracks, shells, carcasses!) found in Christchurch. Take a photo and upload it to the iNaturalist app.
