The art of invertebrate macrophotography – talk, 7:00pm

Bryce McQuillan, self-taught wildlife photographer, macrophotography expert and contributor to A Photographic Guide to New Zealand Spiders, shares his experience in invertebrate macrophotography. He will give tips on capturing the smallest of species on camera and speak about his current projects in this free talk.

Night macrophotography hands on – workshop, 8:30pm

In this hands-on outdoor workshop, wildlife photographer Bryce McQuillan will demonstrate the basics of macrophotography, lighting, depth of field, and how to get up close to your subject.

This workshop is suitable for participants with a dedicated macro lens only. All participants must also bring the following equipment: camera and spare batteries, macro lens or extension tube, head torch and handheld torch. Please wear closed-in footwear and warm clothing.
