Explore indigenous innovation in relation to flax!

MOTAT has teamed up with the Mangere Mountain Education Centre to explore indigenous innovation in relation to flax, particularly flax weaving. Come along every weekend during March to discover how New Zealand’s early settlers adapted to their environment and conditions and why flax became an important resource for food, medicine and weaving. Bring the whole family along to watch a master weaver at work and get hands-on while learning the basics of flax weaving.

Venue: MOTAT, 805 Great North Road, Western Springs, Auckland

Cost: Normal MOTAT admission fees apply
