Thank you SO much for the webcast yesterday. It was a great experience for the kids and for me. The science information was a perfect fit for our Geoscience unit, but more importantly, it showed the students science in action and some of the possibilities that await if they want to pursue a career in science; I really can’t begin to describe what a positive experience this was for us.

If you are interested in scheduling a broadcast during Expedition 374 (4 January – 8 March 2018), note that the expedition will be operating at very high southern latitudes near Antarctica, which is on the edge of satellite coverage. The exact position on any given day, coupled with current atmospheric conditions and other factors, may reduce internet connectivity capabilities and limit the ability to conduct live ship-to-shore events. If your event is impacted, they will try to reschedule you for a later date during the expedition.

Supporting teacher materials are also available.
