A collaboration between Rotary Hutt City and Hutt City Council, IYM is a science and technology inspired programme for 40 year 11 and 12 female students in the Wellington region.

The guest speaker will be Professor Sally Davenport, Professor of Technology and Innovation Management at Victoria University of Wellington. She is also Director of the ‘Science for Technological Innovation’ National Science Challenge and Commissioner at the New Zealand Productivity Commission. She was recently made a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for services to science. Since beginning her career at Victoria University in 1991, Sally has emerged as one the country’s strongest voices and most passionate leaders in the fields of science, technology, management and innovation.

Also presenting will be IIYM Alumnus, Sithmi Gangadara Sathruwani, Rotary Hutt City and Hutt City Council.

The launch will be a great opportunity to network with others in the STEMM sector in the Wellington region and to learn more about the exciting programme planned for 2018.
