Join this workshop for an introduction to Education for Sustainability and the Enviroschools Kaupapa. The workshop is open to participants from all primary and intermediate schools in the Greater Wellington region.

In this workshop you will:

  • Explore the Enviroschools kaupapa and the concept of Sustainability
  • Unpack the principles that guide the Enviroschools process
  • Learn how Enviroschools are supported throughout the region
  • Be introduced to Enviroschools Resources: Scrapbooks, Handbook, Enviroschools Kit, DVDs
  • Have an opportunity to learn from and connect with other Enviroschools on the journey

Who might find this workshop useful?

  • This workshop is open to participants from all primary and intermediate schools in the
  • Greater Wellington region. It will be useful for:
  • Teachers and principals whose schools or centres are considering joining the Enviroschools Programme
  • Teachers in established Enviroschools who are new to the concepts or to the school
  • Parents or BOT members of Enviroschools or prospective Enviroschools
  • Any teacher who wants to include environmental education for sustainability in their teaching programme

Workshop cost includes an Enviroschools Handbook for each participant, morning tea, lunch and handouts and a reusable bag to store all the goodies.
