Experience the magic of the night and explore the hidden world of the native pekapeka (long-tailed bats). These fascinating creatures are a vital part of our ecosystem and this tour offers a unique opportunity to to explore the hidden world they inhabit.
Long-tailed bat
Long-tailed bats (Chalinolobus tuberculatus) used to be common throughout New Zealand, but from the 1900s, they have become increasingly scarce. They now have the highest threat ranking of nationally critical.
