Join the Ministry for the Environment and the Science Learning Hub as we explore Te Kāhui o Matariki as a guiding framework for science teaching and learning.

Live webinar cancelled – see replacement

Apologies from the Science Learning Hub team, unfortunately due to COVID, the live webinar – Te Kahui o Matariki and the environment has been cancelled.

Instead we have a new pre-recorded webinar Te Kāhui o Matariki and the environment. lt provides a deeper look at some of the Ministry for the Environment and the Science Learning Hub Te Kāhui o Matariki resources. If you have registered for the live webinar you will automatically be sent the link to the recording and supporting materials today.

Each whetū in the Matariki cluster is associated with an aspect of wellbeing and the environment, such as the land, the forests, freshwater, salt water, wind and rain. Using Matariki helps us tell the story of the environment. It supports our understanding of the connections and interactions between the environment and people and it provides a link from the past to the present and into the future.

In this webinar we will unpack ideas connected to Te Kāhui o Matariki and share resources to support teaching and learning.

This session will be valuable for all educators.
