With a pragmatic, number eight wire attitude and ‘Burt Munro way’, English-born pharmaceutical scientist, inventor and entrepreneur Sir Ray Avery is undoubtedly changing the world. He was knighted in 2011 for services to philanthropy. Ray has published two books: the best-selling autobiography Rebel with a Cause charting his life from street kid to knighthood and The Power of Us celebrating New Zealanders who dare to dream.
