The World Soil Day 2019 theme is ‘Stop soil erosion, Save our future’. The goal is to raise awareness on the importance of sustaining healthy ecosystems and human well-being by addressing the increasing challenges in soil management and to raise the profile of healthy soil by encouraging governments, organizations, communities and individuals around the world to engage in proactively improving soil health.

Celebrate World Soil Day on 5 December by planting a native tree/shrub, ground cover is a great way to reduce soil erosion.

World Soil Day was started in 2014 as a means to focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and advocating for the sustainable management of soil resources.
