Student Activity - Cancer definitions
Activity idea
By the end of this activity, students should have a deeper understanding of key cancer terminology.
Instructions
This activity is carried out in groups of four.
Give each student a table with a different word from the others in their group – tumour, malignant, benign, cancer. They write down a definition for their word and then fold the word under before handing it on to the next person.
The next student reads the definition, writes down the word they think it defines and folds under the definition before handing it along.
This continues until the end when the students open up the tables to see if the word at the start matches the word at the end.
