Professor Alison Mercer
Professor Alison Mercer, Zoology Department, University of Otago, has a particular desire to better understand the learning and memory mechanisms in animal brains. Using the bee as model, Alison hopes to contribute to the development of better treatments for mood disorders and Parkinson’s disease in humans.
